Benefits of Rice – Rice is a cultivated plant that is very important for human life because it is the main source of carbohydrates for humans, especially in Indonesia, India and neighboring countries.

For residents of Indonesia and several other countries around the world, morning is a staple food that should not be absent because for Indians, Indonesians, Malaysians, and others, consuming rice (the product of rice) is a necessity, so whatever the food is if not eat rice, not to say eat.

How to Produce Rice

To be able to produce rice or be able to get rice which is then cooked as rice which is consumed as a staple food. Someone has to harvest rice from the fields, then do the separation process between rice stalks and grains or rice seeds.

After separation, now the rice must be dried in the sun so that it can be milled smoothly and the husks can be separated from the rice. This milling process is traditionally very long because it uses human labor by using traditional equipment which is called JINGKI.

However, now the process of milling rice into rice is very easy with advances in technology, many machines have been specially made to grind rice seeds and produce rice. After the rice comes out, only then is it cooked or cooked so that it becomes rice. This rice is consumed as a staple food.

Rice is a food plant that is classified as a cereal crop or called cereals (grains). Rice plants that are also classified as cereals are corn (Zea Mays Spp), Sorghum (Sorghum Spp) and Millet, and Wheat (Triticum Spp).

That is why, this kind of rice plant can also be milled and cooked or cooked directly like corn. The functions and benefits of plants in the cereal group are to provide nutrients in the form of carbohydrates that can fill you up so that they can all function as staple foods. So, there are some people who do not eat rice but consume corn as a staple food. There are also people who consume wheat like Arabs and others.

Benefits of Rice for Health

1. Source of energy

First, the benefits of rice are as a source of energy for humans because humans. Rice is a cereal plant that is rich in carbohydrates so that it is filling for the body. In addition, rice or rice also contains calories which are useful as a source of energy for humans. By consuming rice, the body becomes full and produces a lot of energy and strength to support various daily activities.

However, consuming rice must be in accordance with the form of activity. Is it hard work or not. If a person is not doing heavy activities, he should not consume a lot of rice because it can cause blood sugar or diabetes.

2. Prevent indigestion

Indigestion occurs when our stomach or intestines become empty because there is no suitable food to convert as energy. So at that time the stomach began to feel heartburn and uncomfortable, but by consuming a reasonable amount of rice, we have provided protection for the stomach so that there is no friction between the intestinal walls. That is why one needs to eat rice or eat staple foods such as rice, wheat and others.

3. Good for bones

Bones are the most important part of the human body that are useful for helping human activities. Without healthy bones it will be difficult for us to move and work. Rice or rice contains calcium which is useful for bone health and good for teeth growth and dental health.

So, rice is one of the staple foods for the world’s population, unlike other foods such as coconut, mango, or watermelon, for example, there are things that are lacking from these fruits so that they do not become staple foods, this is the absence of filling carbohydrates. .

4. Rice is a high source of protein

Rice includes foods rich in protein. Protein is an essential mineral in the formation of muscle, skin, bones and blood cells. So, consuming rice is quite reasonable why it is used as a staple food. It turns out that eating rice is able to build a person’s body development due to adequate protein. If protein is sufficient, the muscles will be shaped by these proteins.

Likewise with other foods that are similar to rice such as wheat. Wheat is also a staple food because it is also filling like rice.
