Are you overwhelmed by booting into safe mode on Windows 8? Indeed, Windows 8 is designed differently from Windows 7. So, even if you try to press F8 and Shift +, this doesn’t work at all. 2. Normal Interrupt Boot Process for 3 Times in Windows 8 or 8.1

There is another way to boot Windows 8 to a safe mode. This is done when windows fails repeatedly (three times) in the normal boot process. You can force Windows 8 to do this with its normal boot interrupt 3 times over. You must stop your PC while booting. Of course, this is done by pressing the reset button on the CPU or the power button. If you press the power button, you have to press for about 5 seconds to turn off the PC.

3. Boot in Safe Mode Through the Windows 8 installation media and the Command Prompt

The next way is by using Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 bootable media such as DVD or USB memory. You can use this media to boot on Windows 8 into safe mode. When Windows 8 installs the start wizard, select “language and keyboard” and press “Next“.

Next, on the screen that appears, click or press on “repair your computer“, located in the lower left corner.

Next, on the “Troubleshoot” screen, click or tap on “Advanced options“.

This action makes Command Prompt an administrator. Then in the command prompt, enter or write the following command: bcdedit/set {default} minimal safeboot. Then press Enter on your keyboard, the command prompt will display “The operation completed successfully.”

Close Command Prompt, now Windows 8 will bring you back to “Choose an option“. Click Continue.

Note: This method is usually successful but Windows 8.1 will always enter “safe mode” every time you start. To prevent booting every time you log in to Windows 8.1, you must do: Not Command Prompt and enter this command: bcdedit/deletevalue {default} safeboot.
