Of course, you can do it with your husband before sahur, even before dawn. Having marital relations is something that breaks the fast. So if you do it not during fasting, this is permissible.

The limit is between iftar and the entry of dawn. You can do whatever you like with your husband, as long as it is within the limits allowed in religion. It has nothing to do with your fast. Fasting is done during the day, so you can do something that breaks the fast at night. Making love with your partner is like eating and drinking. So, it is your choice before sahur.

Making Love After Sahur

Making love after sahur is allowed, as long as it has not entered the dawn. As soon as the time of dawn, then you are obliged to refrain from things that break the fast, including sexual intercourse. Moreover, making love before dawn, so the limitation is the two times, namely the entry of maghrib and dawn.

Entering the time of maghrib is the time to break the fast, and entering the time of dawn is the time to start fasting. While sahur is dinner at 2/3 of the night or anytime before dawn. Even eating sahur in the month of Ramadan is recommended a little before the entry of dawn. This aims to make you fresher and stronger in fasting.

Can I Fast without Suhoor

Yes, you can even make it obligatory to fast even if you don’t eat sahur at night. Eating sahur is sunnat (recommended) so that a person is strong in undergoing fasting worship.

So, you can eat sahur and you can not. If you want to get rewarded and strong in fasting, then you should eat sahur. But if you don’t eat sahur, you are still obliged to fast.

What if I don’t Fast because I don’t Eat Sahur

If you don’t fast because you don’t eat suhoor, then it’s haram and you’re sinning. In addition, you are also obliged to replace it (repeat fasting in another month as many days as left).

So, there are two consequences of leaving the fast on purpose, whether eating sahur or not. First; sin for not fasting, and secondly; must replace it.

However, if you are not strong at all to fast, you are very weak, and health experts say that if you fast there will be harm or bad effects on your health. So in Islam, it is permissible for you not to fast, but it is obligatory to make up for it (Qadha) in other months as much as you have left.
