Jupiter is a large planet in the solar system and it has its own unique facts. One of the interesting facts about the planet Jupiter is that it has quite a number of moons. You may be asking “How Many Moons Does Jupiter Have?” While the earth we live in is only one month. Scientists say that Jupiter has 79 months, Subhanallah, until now.

Even now astronomers from the University of British Columbia, Canada consider the planet to have up to 600 moons. Most of its moons are as small as 800 yards. It is only 8 times the size of a football field.

Scientists who are members of the Canadian astronomer such as Edward Ashton, Matthew Beaudoin, and Brett Gladman have observed 60 images of the planet Jupiter since 2010. All of these images were taken in less than 3 hours. After observing it and paying close attention, the astronomers concluded that Jupiter has 45 new moons orbiting the huge planet.

They think there are about 600 moons orbiting Jupiter. This is because they only see and pay attention to one square degree of space on the planet. What about the other space, so there is a lot of space to pay attention to and of course the number of months will be very large. So, How Many Moons Does Jupiter Have, It seems that Jupiter has many moons passing through it.

Meanwhile, based on data from Sky and Telescope, “The team studied 60 archives with 140 second exposures to parts of space close to Jupiter. This was taken within 3 hours in 2010. They used a camera with a power of 340 pixels MegaPrime in Canada-France-Hawaii. ‘i Telescope, Ma na Kea.

Scientists after looking at the resulting image and they combined the images in 126 different ways. They observed that there were many moons passing by.

The 45 new moons found are not yet official and they have not been named. How to get official? To get official, they have to be able to prove their orbit and that hasn’t been done in those 45 months.

Now, the International Astronomical Union also says there are moons smaller than 1 km, so most of the moons are too small to be labeled as moons.

Looking at the number of moons that the planet Jupiter has, we can imagine how big the planet is. Even the size can be many times the size of the earth we inhabit. Earth is only about the size of a soybean when compared to the size of Jupiter. Not to mention that we compare it to other planets whose size is very large, even hundreds of times the size of Jupiter. This is a sign of the greatness of Allah, Who owns and created this universe.
