Usually diabetes and high blood pressure go hand in hand. However, if you are a diabetic or a person with high blood pressure, and a patient with COVID-19, there are serious things that can happen. Do you know what the danger is if you suffer from one of these diseases.

We are still in a pandemic period, and we all know what has been done by covid-19 until now, almost all lines of human life have been paralyzed, including those that have a huge impact on the nation’s economic sector. With various efforts, including vaccination, we hope that the plague of covid-19 will be quickly resolved and life can recover and humans can start life in the new normal era. But keep in mind that with the condition of a person who has diabetes or hypertension, if he is exposed to a disease such as covid 19, it will be more dangerous, and can cause severe complications.

So, people with diabetes and hypertension have a stricter responsibility for their health. They have to be extra careful so as not to get infected with covid 19. This disease is still considered deadly for those who have a history of congenital diseases such as diabetes and hypertension.

The Relationship between Hypertension, Diabetes, and Covid 19

Hypertension is a disease that has a long-lasting impact, just like diabetes which is also a long-term disease. Both of these diseases can weaken the body’s functions from day to day, especially if the sufferer does not control his food. If the immune system is weak, then the risk of COVID-19 will be higher because the body is not able to fight infection. So, people with diabetes and high blood pressure must really maintain nutrition and healthy food every day and pay attention to diet including the number of food portions. The goal is to keep the body healthy and the body’s immunity does not continue to weaken.

Indeed, there is no evidence that diabetics are more susceptible to COVID-19, but what is clear is that if they are exposed to Corona disease (covid 19), the infection will be more severe. People with diabetes experience more inflammation in their bodies, so if they contract COVID-19, the inflammation will get worse. well, this is what causes infections in diabetics to be more severe if they are attacked by covid-19.
