But did you know that has to limited in foods. We can’t eat too much caramel, why? If you want to know why, keep reading this article.

There is also caramel made with corn syrup, candy and fudge. Caramel like very famous in the world of children, they love this sweet treat. But you should know that if you consume too much caramel, then this is bad for health because it is a food made of sugar.

Excessive sugar in the body is very dangerous and can even be fatal.

Well, you already know why too much caramel can be bad for health. If you don’t understand, let’s see the review below.

Is Caramel Good for You, Lets See Below

1. Caramel is a storehouse of sugar

Sugar-rich foods are not good for health in large quantities. Similarly, honey is rich in fructose and sugar, which is why there are side effects of consuming large amounts of honey.

Likewise with caramel, in small it may not be a problem. But when caramel is consumed in large quantities, this is where the problem begins. Caramel is a sweet food that is rich in sugar and this is not good for the body.

The American diet is already very rich in sugar, where we often eat fast food, snacks, even a ton of foods that have been preserved and these contain a lot of sugar. if you add more caramel every day it will be a disaster for the body.

The amount of sugar per day is 10 tablespoons, but some others call it 24 tablespoons as the National Center Institute says. That is the maximum value every day, if we add it again with other sugars such as caramel, this will really be harmful to health. The body with excess sugar can cause various diseases.

Among the diseases that occur due to too much sugar in the body are: Liver problems, diabetes, heart disease, obesity and permanent obesity.

So, sugar does not cause colds or coughs, but almost all dangerous diseases start from consuming sugar-rich foods. When the body does not limit sugar intake, this excess sugar will be flowed in the blood or converted into body fat.

2. Worsening heart problems

The sugar in caramel does not directly have a bad effect on the heart.

But sugar causes heart disease in the same way we mentioned above. More sugar in the body will be converted into fat and this can block blood flow, causing liver problems and others.

How:

Sugar that is too high in foods such as caramel, if consumed in excess can cause fat and in this case fatty liver, and finally if not treated this can have an effect on liver disease, and in turn can lead to heart disease.

If caramel is consumed in very large quantities, then you are at risk for chronic inflammation, heart disease.

In addition, the bad effect of sugar is to increase triglycerides in the blood. Triglycerides that are too high will increase the potential for heart attacks.

3. Causes various diseases

The high sugar content in caramel is not only bad for the heart, but the high sugar in the daily diet can also cause stroke.

When the blood flow is too high in sugar and fat produced from excessive sugar, the blood flow will stagnate. This will reduce the supply of blood and oxygen to the brain. As a result, the brain cannot function properly.

On the other hand, when blood flow is constrained by fat in the blood vessels, the heart pump will be strong so that blood can flow throughout the body.

Well, times like this sometimes cause the brain’s blood vessels to burst and this is called a stroke. When there is no more blood flow to the brain, the brain stops working. A person who experiences this will go into a coma and the consequences can be fatal.

4. Bad for your teeth

Caramel is a sweet food that is sticky on the surface of the teeth or on the surface of the tooth enamel. When this sugar is sticky, then your tooth enamel will gradually be damaged.

Sugar is not as sweet as it tastes, it forms plaque and accumulates bacteria on the teeth. This can damage your teeth and make your condition worse day by day.

5. Experiencing kidney and liver damage

Liver and kidney are two important organs that work with their respective duties. The sugar in caramel not only damages the teeth, but also damages the health of the liver which in turn damages the kidneys as well.

Kidneys need sugar to produce clean sugar. If a person consumes too much sugar, the kidneys will stop producing clean sugar. It can no longer digest various harmful chemicals.

Well, now you know what the side effects of sugar are and why we shouldn’t overconsume caramel. This is almost the same as the side effects of honey, because it also contains a lot of fructose, a type of sugar.
