Although the bylaws state that they do not limit skin color, creed or national origin in their fraternity, the membership of this fraternity has the largest membership of African American descent.

The Kappa Alpha Psi membership numbers around 150 thousand members with 721 undergraduate and alumni chapters in every state of the United States. Apart from branches in American states, there are also international branches such as Japan, Germany, England, Korea, the American Virgin Islands, Nigeria and South Africa.

Who are The Members of Kappa Alpha Psi

People who are members of the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, especially those who are members of the arts, athletics, civil rights, business, education, government and science sectors both at the local and international levels. This is a fraternity that is part of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), it is also famous as the world’s first Greek letter society dominated by African Americans, this fraternity was founded in the Appalachian mountains. In 2011, on January 5 to be precise, they celebrated their 100th anniversary.

Kappa is a term which is the tenth letter in the Greek alphabet or what is called the Greek alphabet. This name was later used as the name of Greek-language college fraternities, such as Kappa Alpha Psi. The term Kappa is often used as an abbreviation of the name of this fraternity.

So, the name of the brotherhood is called Kappa, while its followers are called Nupe. That is the difference between the terms Kappa VS Nupe.
