Later, it was revealed that the doll was very much like the daughter of the recently deceased shop owner. The owner of the wedding dress shop was named Pascuala Esparza and he had a beautiful daughter who died on her wedding day from being bitten by a black spider. The story says that he mummified his daughter’s body, and then displayed it in his shop window, thus he thought that his dead daughter could be a bride he had never experienced in his life.
