Pressure-Cooker Beef Tips

These are tips for cooking beef using a Pressure Cooker. Beef is a food rich in protein and many other nutrients and this includes a delicious meal. Cooking meat including beef using a pressure cooker may be a bit different from using the traditional method. Using this cooking tool is very easy and you just have to choose a certain temperature or setting to be able to cook the food perfectly.

We are very fond of food from beef, we eat it with white rice or sometimes with brown rice, adding potatoes and mushrooms in beef dishes. This will add to the sweet taste of the dish and make you more enthusiastic about cooking, especially using a Pressure-Cooker, it will certainly make your cooking activities easier in the kitchen.

Pressure-Cooker Beef Tips

Ingredients needed:

  • Olive oil as much as 3 teaspoons
  • 1 beef top sirloin steak (1 pound), cubed
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 pound portebello mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/3 cup dry red wine or beef broth
  • two cups beef broth
  • 1 small onion, halved and sliced
  • 3-4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup water, and
  • Hot cooked mashed potatoes

How to Make Pressure-Cooker Beef

Step1:

Well, since we’re using a pressure-cooker, we can choose the “saute” setting, at 6-qt. electric pressure cooker and adjustable heat (just use medium heat). Add two teaspoons of oil, then add the beef and salt and pepper. Cook until browned and add oil if needed and transfer meat to a bowl.

Step 2:

Now add the wine to the pressure-cooker, stir, press “cancel”. Now put the beef back into the cooker. Now just add the mushrooms, onions, stock, and don’t forget to add Worcestershire sauce too.

Close the lock, close the pressure relief valve. Adjust the pressure cooker on high heat for about 15 minutes and immediately release the pressure.

Step 3:

Choose a setting for stir fry and use it for low heat. Now and bring the liquid to a boil. Meanwhile separately, in a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth. Cook and stir until the sauce thickens. Then serve with mashed potatoes.

A serving cup of pressure-coker stir-fried meat contains about 235 calories, 46mg cholesterol, 8g fat (2g saturated fat), 837mg sodium, 27g protein and also 10g carbohydrate (2g sugars, 1g fiber).
