Speed Up Wifi Connection – Wifi has become a major necessity for modern society. Because almost all activities on the road use assistance from the internet, one of which is through the use of wifi. In fact, cafes are now using their wifi speed to make customers feel at home. Just look at the hangout cafes in Bandung, for example, all of them are already using high-speed wifi so that it provides comfort for their customers.

That is how important wifi is now, even when you come to cafes, what you will see first is the presence or absence of wifi, and then whether or not wifi is fast. This means that modern society attaches great importance to the internet with a reasonable speed because more than half of its current activities use the internet.

However, there are still places where the wifi connection is not high speed so it is often a problem for some people. If you often stream, download or upload videos to YouTube, for example, you must feel annoyed with the wifi connection that is not fast. So on this occasion we will review how to speed up a wifi connection, let’s follow the tips below.

7 Tips on How to Speed Up Wifi Connection

1. Change the Bandwidth setting

Before changing the bandwidth, make sure that your modem is in the “on” position and shift the bandwidth speed to high speed so that the internet is smoother. How to see the following:

On the RUN menu on windows> type there gpedit.msc> Then click computer configuration> administrative templates> continue to select on the network> QoS packed scheduler> double click on the reservable bandwidth limit> select enable, then change the bandwidth limit. If everything has been done, restart your computer to see the results.

2. Wifi Switcher Installation

The next tip to speed up wifi is to use the Wifi Switcher application. You can get this application for free on the Google Play Store, look for the one made by Cloudie Development and download and install it.

If you have installed this application, then click on the menu provided to launch your internet network. Very easy isn’t it!

3. Change the computer’s DNS settings

Tips and how to speed up the next wifi connection is to change your computer’s DNS settings. What is DNS, DNS is a menu that looks up names on your PC using a TCP or IP network. Change the computer DNS via Google DNS. If you have changed it and the internet is still slow, then the alternative is to reset the network and flushing the DNS. Here’s how:

Right click> select the RUN administrator menu> type flushdns> press enter, then try to access the internet repeatedly.

4. Select a well-known provider

One of the well-known providers is Telkomsel, Telkomsel is known to be expensive, but they provide quality facilities. The Telkomsel internet network is among the fastest in Indonesia. So, if your internet is not fast, maybe one of the causes is an unstable internet network service provider.

If you are not happy with Telkomsel (like me), you can choose other internet providers such as XL and Tri. They already have many networks throughout Indonesia, although they are still limited and not as comprehensive as Telkomsel.

5. Move to a place that is still quiet

If you go to a cafe for internet access, you should choose a place that doesn’t have many visitors. The internet network gets slower if there are more users because the network frequency will be divided among all users. So, if your seat starts to get crowded, you can move to a place that is still quiet.

6. Check the antenna position of the router

It turns out that one way to speed up a wifi connection is to check the router antenna. The router on your wifi is in a straight position not whistling so that it can easily pick up internet signals and channel them to your device.

In addition, also check the rauter cable, do not let your rauter cable break and peel off the outer skin. If not then your internet can be weak and not good.

7. Using an adequate modem

The next way to speed up wifi is to provide a modem. Actually, this is more of a way of keeping an internet connection up and running. This is to anticipate if one day you damage the router, so you can still use a modem so that internet access continues.

Internet modems use different speeds, for that you can choose the modem that has the highest speed so that you are not constrained by the internet you have.

Those are some ways to Speed Up Wifi Connection. So, it’s important to know so that you can always get adequate access. So, first understand why and then take steps to prevent it and if a problem occurs you can fix it yourself.
