Health Benefits of Sunflowers – Sunflower in Latin called helianthus annus is a beautiful flower with a bright yellow color and is shaped like a sunshine with a circle of the moon in the middle filled with seeds. Sunflower is not only useful as an ingredient for making dwarf but it has many health benefits from its seeds to sunflower oil.

The beauty of sunflower fields is not only a tourist spot, but the sunflowers will be harvested in due time and will be used as sunflower oil and as a sunflower. So, what are the benefits of sunflower for human health? In this article, we will talk about the health benefits of flower seeds and oils which have the Latin name helianthus annus.

Benefits of Sunflower Seeds

Sunflower seeds are very good for health because they contain high levels of vitamin E which is called gamma-tocopherol. Gamma-tocopherol is a type of antioxidant that is found in many types of nuts. So, sunflower seeds or sunflower seeds are useful for warding off free radicals that cause premature aging and cell damage.

Consuming sunflower seeds regularly in a reasonable amount is good for heart health because it can reduce the amount of bad cholesterol or LDL in the body. In addition to the heart, sunflower seeds are also beneficial for hypertension or high blood pressure. Ok, let’s just look at what are the benefits of sunflower seeds for the following health.

1. Prevent muscle cramps and osteoporosis

Sunflower seeds are high in magnesium which is good for neutralizing the body’s calcium and potassium content. So, sun seeds are good for preventing bone loss, muscle cramps, chronic headaches and constipation.

2. Good for skin health

One of Health Benefits of Sunflowers is good for skin. Sunflower seeds are high in vitamin E, called gamma-tocopherol, which is an antioxidant that keeps skin healthy and soft. Apart from vitamin E, it also contains essential fatty acid lipids which function to keep the skin moisturized and hydrated and protect the skin from the sun.

3. Prevent diabetes

One of the very good health benefits of sunflower seeds is to prevent blood sugar spikes. The nutrient content in the seeds can reduce blood sugar spikes due to consuming foods high in sugar such as processed foods, refined grains and sweet drinks.

Apart from getting the benefits of consuming sunflower seeds, sunflower oil is also beneficial for many health. Even the oil is said to be useful for reducing the risk of heart disease and also good for maintaining weight balance. As stated by the Department of Health and Human Service from United states.

The oil, made from sunflower seeds, is usually used to add flavor to certain dishes and relieve constipation. Ok, let’s just explain two important benefits of sunflower oil.

1. Anti-inflammatory

Inflammation or inflammation occurs when the lining of the skin follicles is dirty and contaminated with bacteria. Usually acne appears due to excess oil under the follicle layer and this oil is infected with bacteria, so inflammation is called acne.

Sunflower seed oil contains vitamins A, C, D and E and contains essential fatty acids. The essential oils that exist will be protective for the skin layer so that the skin is not easily connected with bacteria that can cause this inflammation. So, the benefits of sunflower oil are to treat acne, you can rub the oil directly on the infected skin surface.

Furthermore, the benefits of sunflower oil are good enough for the body because this is one of the rich foods in omega 3 essential. One tablespoon of sunflower oil contains about 8.9 grams of linoleic acid. Linoleic acid is a polyunsaturated fatty acid or omega-6 called.

Monounsaturated fats are good for the daily diet and are even essential nutrients in the human diet. For maximum benefits of omega 3 fats, we need at least 11 to 14 grams of omega 3 fats every day. So, consuming sunflower seeds or oil from sunflower seeds is one easy way to get omega 3 essential oils.
