  2. There are various islands around the world that are inhabited by many snakes and tourists are prohibited there
  3. Snakes are cold-blooded animals, and they do not have the ability to regulate their body temperature
  4. Snakes eat by swallowing their food whole

Even though snakes are frightening to most creatures, there are also various types of animals and birds that actually eat snakes as food. There are many birds that have the ability to knock a snake down, catching it off guard in either the jungle or the desert. The following is a list of animals that become predators to snake.

1. Wolverines

Wolverine is a cruel but non-discriminatory snake predator, wolverine can eat anything he encounters. Among its food are rodents, rats, worms, rabbits, frogs, birds and snakes can be prey.

Surprisingly, it is even stated that wolverines can defeat even cobras.

Wolverine is a member of the weasel family, it looks small but he is a big member of the family. Wolverines are powerful and versatile predators and scavengers. It is a muscular, solitary, and stocky creature. When attacking birds, it climbs trees and spends a lot of time on it.

However, the wolverine is not a sedentary animal, it even moves 15 miles per day in search of food. In fact, he digs burrows just to look for other animals that are hibernating like snakes.

The mongoose is another predatory animal against snakes, the mongoose is very easy to defeat snakes because according to some people the mongoose has an anti-snake poison receptor called acetylcholine. These receptors they are immune to snake venom.

Apart from that, if you are hit by a snake’s fangs, of course this is very unpleasant and the mongoose relies on speed to get away from the snake’s benchmark. Even if you get bitten by a snake, it won’t be that dangerous because your body already has anti-snake venom (immune to poison).

Civets are members of the genus Herpestes, where they live in warm regions such as Africa, Asia, Southern Europe. The mongoose prefers snakes as food.

Among the other animals included in this genus are the Angolan slender mongoose (H. flavescens), the common slender mongoose (H. sanguineus), the Cape gray mongoose (H. pulverulentus), and the Egyptian mongoose (H. ichneumon).

There is also a Hedgehog that lives by hunting small insects, the hedgehog is a combination of herbivores, insectivores, and carnivores or can be said as omnivores. Hedgehogs will eat anything that is available including plants. These animals sometimes also do not eat for a long time.
