Dua for Tahajud Prayer (Arabic and its translation)

Dua for Tahajud Prayer – Tahajud prayer is a night prayer that is done after sleeping for a while. The law of tahajud prayer is the sunnat muakkad or sunnat which is highly recommended. The midnight prayer has many wisdom and advantages.

One of them is being healthy for those who regularly do it, and there are many other advantages and virtues of midnight prayer.

In a hadith the Prophet Muhammad said as follows:

ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻜُﻢْ ﺑِﻘِﻴَﺎﻡِ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻴْﻞِ، ﻓَﺈِﻧَّﻪُ ﺩَﺃْﺏُ ﺍﻟﺼَّﺎﻟِﺤِﻴْﻦَ ﻗَﺒْﻠَﻜُﻢْ، ﻭَﻫُﻮَ ﻗُﺮْﺑَﺔٌ ﺇِﻟَﻰ ﺭَﺑِّﻜُﻢْ، ﻭَﻣُﻜَﻔِّﺮَﺓٌ ﻟِﻠﺴَّﻴِّﺌَﺎﺕِ، ﻣَﻨْﻬَﺎﺓٌ ﻋَﻦِ ﺍْﻹِﺛْﻢِ

Meaning: “Do the night prayers by you, because it is a habit of the people praying before you. He can also bring you closer to your Rabb, erase all mistakes and prevent sinning. ” [HR. Tirmidhi, Hadith hasan]

Why are there so many advantages? because praying in the middle of the night or after sleeping at night is something that is very difficult, the more difficult we strive to get closer to God, the more value and reward it will be.

Even anyone who routinely performs the midnight prayer, then this is one of the characteristics of the inhabitants of heaven.

However, after the midnight prayer there is a prayer that is recommended for us to recite. This prayer shows the greatness of Allah, shows that we are weak servants.

Prayer after midnight prayer is also an acknowledgment that we are servants who really need Allah, there is no way we can do without Allah’s help, because Allah is the organizer of everything.

Dua After Tahajud Prayer

Alright, we will immediately see the prayer after the midnight prayer and its meaning.

اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ قَيِّمُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ لَكَ مُلْكُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ نُورُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ مَلِكُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ الْحَقُّ وَوَعْدُكَ الْحَقُّ وَلِقَاؤُكَ حَقٌّ وَقَوْلُكَ حَقٌّ وَالْجَنَّةُ حَقٌّ وَالنَّارُ حَقٌّ وَالنَّبِيُّونَ حَقٌّ وَمُحَمَّدٌ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَقٌّ وَالسَّاعَةُ حَقٌّ اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ أَسْلَمْتُ وَبِكَ آمَنْتُ وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْكَ أَنَبْتُ وَبِكَ خَاصَمْتُ وَإِلَيْكَ حَاكَمْتُ فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَا قَدَّمْتُ وَمَا أَخَّرْتُ وَمَا أَسْرَرْتُ وَمَا أَعْلَنْتُ أَنْتَ الْمُقَدِّمُ وَأَنْتَ الْمُؤَخِّرُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ أَوْ لَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُكَ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

Meaning: Praise be to you, O Allah, the enforcer of the heavens and the earth and all that is in them, Yours is all praise, Yours is all the kingdoms of heaven and earth and everything that is in them, Thy is all praise You are the light of the heavens and the earth and all that is in them, Your praise is all praise, You are the ruler of the heavens and the earth, Your praise is all, You are true and your promise is true, the meeting with You is true, your words are true, your heaven is true, hell is true, the prophets are true, the Prophet Muhammad is true, and the apocalypse is true.

O Allah, only to You, I surrender myself, only in You do I believe, only in You do I trust, only in You do I return, only with You I face the enemy, and only to You I am punished. So forgive me for all the sins that I have committed and which I might commit, sins that I have committed secretly or openly. You are the most former and You are the last. There is no God but You and there is no effort and strength except with Allah (help).
