Pokeberry are dark berry that have many health benefits. The name varies according to where it grows. Among the popular names for this plant are Phytolacca Americana, cancerroot, American nightshade, cancer jalap, chongras, coakum, crowberry, inkberry, pokeberry, garget, pigeonberry, poke, red ink plant, and scoke are herbal plants that have fruit such as berries .

The Pokeberry plant is native to plants from East America and grows in moist and wet areas. The fruit is small, dark in color, with small branches. This plant bears fruit in August to November.

Pokeberry fruit cannot be consumed directly because it is poisonous. Usually, this fruit is extracted to take juice and use it as a wine coloring.

Pokeberries are herbs that usually grow around 2 to 12 feet. The stems of the pokeberry plant are strong, upright and hard and the color varies from green, red, pink and purple to 3-7 feet.

Pokeberry is rich in vitamin C, in one cup the size of 160 grams contains about 0.251 mg of Copper, 217 mg of Vitamin C, 0.528 mg of Vitamin B2, 2.72 mg of Iron, 0.234 mg of Vitamin B6, 696 µg of Vitamin A, 0.669 mg of Manganese, 0.128 mg of Vitamin B1, 1.92 mg of Vitamin B3, and 70 mg of Phosphorus.
