This is The Rainier Tower in the Metropolitan Tract of Seattle, Washington, at 1301 Fifth Avenue, possibly the result of a beaver eating tree trunks. Rainier Tower is a skyscraper with 31 floors that looks very unique, where the foundation is made of concrete with 11 floors and it tapers to the ground surface. This is unique, as if this building was bitten by a beaver from below, and local people prefer to call it the “beaver building”. How? How exactly about the design of this unique building? Was this designed by beavers? Of course not, this unique building is the result of the design of a famous architect with a variety of monumental works, he is Japanese-American Minoru Yamasaki, the designer of the now destroyed American WTC (World Trade Center) building.

This unique building, before the start of construction, engineers tested the strength of the building to withstand earthquake storms. This strange design and at first glance seems impossible, it turns out that it can also provide benefits for the movement of the wind below which is blocked by many other buildings.

Rainier tower building was completed in 1977, this building was named Rainier Bank, and then in the 1980s merged into Security Pacific and eventually into Bank America. Then in 1989 the name of this tower changed after the name “Security Pacific” to UW and then it was renamed back to its original name, namely: “Rainier Tower” in 1995.
