The benefits of surah yaseen are amazing. This is a common practice, especially when there is a celebration. This practice is not new but is commonly practiced by Indonesians and other ahlussunnah wal jamaah. Apart from reading Yaseen, another practice that is usually done is reading tahlilan and the reward for reading it is addressed to someone as an additional reward if he has died, or as a blessing and blessings for safety and so on.
Reading Yaseen and tahlilan has great benefits in Islam. We usually read yaseen with the intention that someone who has died get reward from the surah Yaseen that we recite, or as a du’a to get various praiseworthy desires. The meaning of du’a here is Yaseen, which we read, we intend for Allah to make things easier for us. Benefits of Reading Surah Yaseen
Ok, let’s immediately see what are the benefits of surah Yaseen below, knowing the many benefits, and extraordinary virtues, hopefully we can increase enthusiasm in reading Yaseen at any time. Not only reading it when there is death, but also in various things, such as to achieve hajat or read yaseen every Friday night to get forgiveness and reward from Allah SWT.
1. Dead as Syahid
One of the virtues and benefits of surah Yaseen is getting martyred. A person who regularly reads Yasin every night until his death comes, then he is considered a person who died in a martyr’s state. This is as the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad which mentioned it, along with the meaning of the hadith.
“Whoever makes it a habit to recite yaseen every night and unexpectedly he dies, then his death is martyrdom”, HR at-Thabrani 7217 from Anas bin Malik “.
2. Get inner peace
Getting used to reading the Koran, including reading the surah Yaseen and getting Zikir to Allah, will make his heart calm. A person who regularly reads the Koran, his face will appear as calm and not controlled by syaithan. Allah said in surah ar-Ra’du verse 28 which means “Know, only by remembering Allah the heart will be calm”,
Reading the Koran sincerely for the sake of Allah, is one of the most obvious forms of remembering Allah.

4. Make it easy for the spirit to come out, when about to die
Why do we recite Surah Yaseen to sick people or people who are going to die? Because one of the benefits of the Yaseen chapter is that it makes it easier for the spirit of the deceased to come out, and Allah gave it to him Husnul Khatimah.
There are many propositions that say that reading Surah Yaseen is very good for people who are going to die. Are as follows.
“Read Yasin to someone who will face sakaratul maut”.
There is also a hadith which means:
“Reciting Yaseen at the side of the janazah will lower the mercy on the corpse, a blessing and make it easier for the spirit to come out”.
So, it is highly recommended to read Surah Yaseen to someone who is going to die, this can make someone get affection when they come out of their souls, including being easy, sincere and there are no problems.

5. Avoid the torment of the grave
Reading the Yaseen also has another extraordinary virtue. It is an escape from the torment of the grave. So, when we come to the grave, we should read Yaseen so that Allah will stop tormenting the grave at that time and Allah will give it and send mercy to the grave.
Among the arguments which state this is a hadith which means the following:
“Whoever visits someone’s grave and recites Surah Yaseen on his grave, then on that day Allah will lighten the torment of his grave and Allah will give some kindness to all the inhabitants of the grave, who are in the cemetery.”
6. Eliminates Soul disease
The next benefit of surah Yaseen is eliminate mental illness (mental illness). Among the diseases that exist in a person’s soul are ‘ujub, ria, envy, arrogance and others. Reading the Yaseen surah regularly has a great advantage in eliminating mental ailments.

There is a hadith which means “whoever recites the surah yaseen touches it and when it comes to verse 58, it is repeated seven times, then Allah will grant his wish”

Furthermore, the benefit of reading Surah Yaseen is that it is protected from evil beings such as robbery, theft, snatching and so on. So, it is very good for us to read the letter Yasin to get the grace of Allah, including avoiding the problems and crimes of other creatures.
8. All sins are forgiven
There are other benefits that are no less important from reading Surah Yaseen. This is the forgiveness of sins from Allah SWT. So, anyone who reads Yaseen at night, then the next day he is forgiven by Allah SWT, meaning that he is kept away from committing sins in various unexpected ways.

9. Reassuring from anxiety
Often reading the surah Yaseen can also make the heart calm, avoid anxiety. People who recite Yaseen regularly every night or every day, must be different from other people in general, they will appear not to be afraid of creatures, be they unseen or invisible to the eye. Because of his strong faith, he only feared to Allah alone.
If you want to have a peaceful heart, then remember Allah in every situation, whether spacious or narrow, then Allah will protect us.
10. Released from prison
If you are put in prison for your mistakes, even though you feel innocent. So read more of the Yaseen chapter, it will be a helper with the will of Allah, so it is not difficult for Allah to get you out of that prison.
In a hadith, Rasulullah SAW said which means: “Whoever reads the Yaseen surah by asking Rida Allah, then all past sins are forgiven.”

أَنْتَ مَوْلاَنَا فَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِيْنَ. إِرْحَمْنَا يَاأَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ 7
أللّهمّ اصْرِفْ عَنَّا السُّوْءَ بِمَا شِئْتَ وَكَيْفَ شِئْتَ إِنَّكَ عَلَى مَاتَشَاءُ قَدِيْرُ 3
وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ إِنَّهُ حَمِيْدٌ مَجِيْدٌ. إِنَّمَا يُرِيْدُ اللهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنْكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيْرًا. إِنَّ اللهَ وَمَلاَئِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّوْنَ عَلَى النَّبِي يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ أمَنُوْا صَلُّوْا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوْا تَسْلِيْمَا.
أَللّهُمَّ صَلِّ أَفْضَلَ الصَّلاَةِ عَلَى أَسْعَدِ مَخْلُوْقَاتِكَ نُوْرِ الْهُدَى سَيِّدِنَا وَمَوْلاَناَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى أَلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدْ. عَدَدَ مَعْلُوْمَاتِكَ وَمِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِكَ كُلَّمَا ذَكَرَكَ الذَّاكِرُوْنَ. وَغَفَلَ عَنْ ذِكْرِكَ الْغَافِلُوْنَ.
أَللّهُمَّ صَلِّ أَفْضَلَ الصَّلاَةِ عَلَى أَسْعَدِ مَخْلُوْقَاتِكَ شَمْسِ الضُّحَى سَيِّدِنَا وَمَوْلاَناَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى أَلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدْعَدَدَ
مَعْلُوْمَاتِكَ وَمِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِكَ كُلَّمَا ذَكَرَكَ الذَّاكِرُوْنَ. وَغَفَلَ عَنْ ذِكْرِكَ الْغَافِلُوْنَ
أَللّهُمَّ صَلِّ أَفْضَلَ*الصَّلاَةِ عَلَى أَسْعَدِ مَخْلُوْقَاتِكَ بَدْرِ الدُّجَى سَيِّدِنَا وَمَوْلاَناَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى أَلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدْ. عَدَدَ مَعْلُوْمَاتِكَ وَمِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِكَ كُلَّمَا ذَكَرَكَ الذَّاكِرُوْنَ. وَغَفَلَ عَنْ ذِكْرِكَ الْغَافِلُوْنَ.
وَسَلِّمْ وَرَضِيَ اللهُ تَعَالَى عَنْ سَادَتِنَا أَصْحَابِ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ أَجْمَعِيْنَ. وَحَسْبُنَا الله وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيْلُ نِعْمَ الْمَوْلَى وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيْرُ. وَلاَحَوْلَ وَلاَقُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيْمِ

أَعُوْذُ بِاللهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيْمِ. بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيْمِ. اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ. حَمْدَ الشَّاكِرِيْنَ حَمْدَ النَّاعِمِيْنَ، حَمْدًا يُوَافِيْ نِعَمَهُ وَيُكَافِئُ مَزِيْدَهُ. يَا رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ كَمَا يَنْبَغِيْ لِجَلَالِ وَجْهِكَ وَعَظِيْمِ سُلْطَانِكَ.
اللهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ فِى اْلاَوَّلِيْنَ.
وَصَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ فِى اْلآخِرِيْنَ.
وَصَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ فِيْ كُلِّ وَقْتٍ وَحِيْنٍ.
وَصَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ فِى الْملاَءِ اْلاَعْلَى اِلَى يَوْمِ الدِّيْنِ. اَللهُمَّ اجْعَلْ وَاَوْصِلْ وَتَقَبَّلْ مَا قَرَأْنَاهُ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ الْعَظِيْمِ. وَمَا قُلْنَاهُ مِنْ قَوْلِ لاَ اِلَهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ وَمَا سَبَّحْنَا اللهَ وَبِحَمْدِهِ.
وَمَا صَلَّيْنَاهُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِئْ هَذَا الْمَجْلِسِ الْمُبَارَكِ هَدِيَّةً وَّاصِلَةً وَّرَحْمَةً نَّازِلَةً وَّبَربكَةً شَامِلَةً وَصَدَقَةً مُتَقَبَّلَةً نُقَدِّمٌ ذَالِكَ وَنُهْدِئهِ اِلَى حَضْرَةِ سَيِّدِنَا وَحَبِيْبِنَا وَشَفِيْعِنَا وَقُرَّةِ اَعْيُنِنَا وَمَوْلاَنَا مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. وَاِلَى جَمِيْعِ اِخْوَانِهِ مِنَ اْلاَنْبِيَاءِ وَالْمُرَْلِيْنَ، وَاْلاَوْلِيَاءِ وَالشُّهَدَاءِ وَالصَّالِحِيْنَ وَالصَّحَابَةِ وَالتَّابِعِيْنَ وَالْعُلَمَاِءِ الْعَامِلِيْنَ وَالْمُصَنِّفِيْنَ الْمُخْلَصِيْنَ وَجَمِيْعِ الْمُجَاهِدِيْنَ فِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ وَالْمَلاَئِكَةِ الْمُقَرَّبِيْنَ خُصُوْصًا اِلَى سَيِّدِنَا الشَّيْخِ عَبْدِ الْقَادِرِ الْجَيْلاَنِى.
وَخُصُوْصًا اِلَى حَضْرَةِ رُوْحِ (nama yang meninggal)
ثُمَّ اِلَى جَمِيْعِ اَهْلِ الْقُبُوْرِ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ وَالْمُسْلِمَاتِ وَالْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ مِنْ مَشَارِقِ اْلاَرْضِ وَمَغَارِبِهَا بَرِّهَا وَبَحْرِهَا خُصُوْصًا اِلَى آبَائِنَا وَاُمَّهَاتِنَا وَاَجْدَاتِنَا وَجَدَّاتِنَا وَنَخُصُّ خُصُوْصًا اِلَى مَنِ اجْتَمَعْنَا هَاهُنَا بِسَبَبِهِ وَِلاََجْلِهِ. اَللهُمَّ اغْفِرْلَهُمْ وَارْحَمْهُمْ وَعَافِهِمْ وَاعْفُ عَنْهُمْ. اَللهُمَّ اَنْزِلِ الرَّحْمَةَ وَالْمَغْفِرَةَ عَلَى اَهْلِ الْقُبُوْرِ مِنْ اَهْلِ لاَ اِلَهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَّسُوْلُ اللهِ. رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِى الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِى اْلاَخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ. سُبْحَانَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ الْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُوْنَ. وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ. اَلْفَاتِحَةُ..

أَسْتَغْفِرُاللهَ الْعَظِيْمَ ۳ xيَا مَوْلَنَا يَا مَعْبُوُد اَللّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلى حَبِيْبِكَ سَيِّدِنَا وَنَبِيَّنَا وَمَوْلنَاَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَسَلِّمْ وَرِضِيَ اللهُ تَبَارَكَ تَعَالى عَنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُوْلِلّهِ اَجْمَعِيْنَ
اَلْحَمْدُِللهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ حَمْدًا شَاكِرِيْنَ حَمْدًا نَاعِمِيْنَ حَمْدًا يُعَافِعُهُ وَ يُكَافِئُ مَزِيْدَهُ يَارَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ كَمَايَنْبَغِى لِجَلاَلِكَ الْكَرِيْمِ وَلِعَظِيْمِ سُلْطَانِكَ

رَبَّنَا اَتِناَ فِى الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِى الْاَخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عََذَابَ النَّارِ
وصَلَّى اللهُ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ الْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُوْنَ وَسَلاَمٌ عِلَى الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ وَالْحَمْدُ للهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ

To end this article about the virtues of reading Surah Yaseen and this tahlilan prayer, we bring a hadith from the Prophet Muhammad which reads:
عَنْ أَبِيْ هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ, قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: وَمَا اجْتَمَعَ قَوْمٌ فِيْ بَيْتٍ مِنْ بُيُوْتِ اللهِ يَتْلُوْنَ كِتَابَ اللهِ وَيَتَدَرَسُوْنَهُ بَيْنَهُمْ إِلَّا نَزَلَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّكِيْنَةُ وَغَشِيَهُمُ الرَّحْمَةُ وَحَفَّتْهُمُ اْلمَلَائِكَةُ وَذَكَرَهُمُ اللهُ فِيْمَنْ عِنْدَهُ ( سنن ابن ما جه : ۲۲۱)
Meaning: From Abi Hurairah RA said, Said Rasulullah SAW, do not gather a group of people in a house of the houses of Allah, where they read the book of Allah, and learn it among them, except descending upon them the serenity, covered them with mercy, surrounded by angels, and Allah praised him among the creatures that were by His side.
Such is the virtue and benefits of Surah Yaseen and Tahlilan both to people who have died or who have not, because the reward of reading Yaseen from others, must be up to the reward for others if the person who reads it intends the reward to others. May be useful!
