Du'a for Dhuha Prayers

Du'a for Dhuha Prayers

This time we will talk about the Duha prayer, including the du’a for duha prayer, because both are important things in performing the Duha prayer. It is impossible for someone to pray alone without praying with special du’a after the Duha prayer, because the purpose of Duha prayer is not only to get closer to Allah but also to invite sustenance and the dua contains all of that. So, in addition to discussing the procedures for prayer, we also discuss the forms of prayer that are recommended or that come from the Prophet Muhammad.

Talking about the dhuha prayer, there is a uniqueness in it where the implementation time is half a day before the sun slips. Precisely after the sun rises until before it slides the sun is to the west which makes the shadow of something leaning towards the east. Duha prayer is the same sunnat prayer as any other prayer which contains extraordinary virtues and benefits. The value of dhuha prayer for some people is considered very great when it is associated with sustenance. Is this true? It is true, because Allah SWT is not difficult at all to provide as much sustenance to His servants as He wishes. So, for a servant who wants to be blessed and facilitated in his life, the key is istiqamah with Duha prayer.

However, the ease of sustenance should not be the main goal in performing this prayer. Our main goal is to get closer to Allah. The more obedient we are and obedient to Allah, the closer Allah will be to us and of course the benefits will be bestowed. That is why, for a servant who is close to Allah, he no longer thinks about getting a lot of sustenance but to add to Allah’s approval for him, and this is certainly obtained when the heart is clean and worship solely because of Allah’s orders.

In the following, we will review and explain about the procedures for the Duha prayer according to the sunnah of the Prophet SAW, the dhuha prayer in Arabic, the dhuha prayer prayer in Latin writing, the meaning of the Duha prayer du’a, as well as the timing of the Duha salah and others that related to dhuha salah.

How to Perform Dhuha Prayer

Doing the dhuha prayer is the same as doing other prayers, but the only difference is the intention, so the first thing that is done is the intention. This is the qasad that comes to the heart when doing takbiratul ihram.

1. Stand up straight, intend to pray Dhuha, takbiratul Ihram

The intention of dhuha prayer lies in the takbiratul ihram. Takbiratul ihram is the first takbir when starting to pray, it is said that because with that takbir one is prohibited from doing everything that is allowed to be done before takbiratul ihram. How about intentions? Lafadh The intentions of dhuha prayer is: I will pray two cycles of sunnat because of Allah SWT. Then, reading the du’a iftitah, which is the opening of the prayer, this is the law of sunnat.

2. Read Al Fatihah

Reading the fatihah letter there is a procedure: After reading the iftitah prayer, then reading the ta’awuz or “A’uzubillahiminasy-syaithaanirrajiim” which is taking refuge from the temptation of the accursed devil. Furthermore, it is followed by reading Basmallah, basmallah is one of the verses of al-Fatihah in the Shafi’e mazhab so this is something that must be read so that its fatihah is valid. If you don’t recite basmallah (Bismillahirrahmanirrahiim), then fatihah is not valid, if it is not valid then prayer is invalid because fatihah is one of the pillars of prayer.

Reciting fatihah must be complete in all the letters, including the character of the alfatihah, namely the behavior of the letters. Whether the lines of dhammah, tasydid, lines of fathah, or breadfruit, all must be true so as not to change the meaning of alfatihah. Furthermore, reciting the alfatihah must also be in an orderly manner according to the verse and must be muwalat (along with one verse to another).

After that, it is okay to read whatever letters you can read, it is okay not to read them.

3. Ruku’

Ruku ‘is prostrate half body with both hands holding the knee so that the spine is flat like a board. The hands hold the knees with the fingers of the palms not together and stretched but in a mid position.

In this prostration, we read a prayer or prayer beads: SUBHANA RABBIYAL A’DHIMI WA BIHAMDIH, three times, then get up from bowing ‘or called i’tidal.

4. I’tidal

This is an upright position with both hands straightened down, the position after bowing and reciting the i’tidal du’a: Rabbana lakal hamdu mil us-samawati wa mil ul ardhi wa mil u-ma syikta min syai’in ba’du. Furthermore, followed by prostration.

5. Prostration

Prostration is to come down from i’tidal by sticking the forehead to the floor and 6 other members so that there are even 7 members. The seven members who are obliged to stick to the floor are the forehead, two palms, two toes, two knees. In prostration position recite tasbih three times: Subhanarabbiyal a’la wabihamdih.

6. Sit between two prostrations

Getting up from prostration is sitting between two prostrations, it is said to be between two prostrations because after sitting down we do prostration once again. In a sitting position there is also a prayer: Rabbi ighfirli warhamni, wajburni …

7. After this proceed with the second prostration like the first prostration.

After the second time prostration, we wake up to the second rak’ah. In the second rak’ah everything is the same as what we have done in the first rak’ah except for the second and so on (third, fourth if praying four cycles) there is no longer reading prayer iftitah, but reading surah al- fatihah.

After the second rak’ah is finished, if the prayer is two rak’ahs like the dawn prayer or the sunnat prayer, then now is the time to sit down for the final tasyahud

8. Sit the final tasyahud

Sit tasyahud at the end with one buttock on the floor and the other one on the right placed on the side of the left foot. In this position we read tahiyat, prayer on the Messenger of Allah and other prayers if possible.

9. Greetings

Greetings are the pillars of the last prayer and the law is obligatory the first time, while greeting to the left the second time is circumcision.

Well, because this is practiced in dhuha prayer, after praying we will recite dhuha prayer.

After the dhuha salah, proceed with reciting the dhuha du’a. In the following, we will convey the dhuha du’a in Arabic, Latin, and the meaning of dhuha prayer.

Dua of Dhuha Prayers in Arabic

After performing the duha prayer as guided by the Prophet Muhammad. now we are ready to read the prayer after the Duha prayer. First is by praising Allah and followed by saying salawat on Rasulullah SAW. After that, before going into special dua, it’s a good idea to recite Asmaul Husna, because one way to quickly grant prayer is to ask Allah by chanting the Beautiful Names of Allah or Asmaul Husna.

Meaning of Du’a for Dhuha Prayer

“O Allah, that verily the time of dhuha is Your dhuha time, and majesty is Your majesty, and beauty is Your beauty, and strength is Your strength, and power is Your power, and guard is Your guard. O Allah, if my sustenance is in the sky then bring it down, if my sustenance is in the earth then take it out, if it is difficult, make it easy, if it is haram purify it, and if it is far away, bring it closer to the truth of Your dhuha, Your power, give me what You have given to Your servants who pious “.

That is the duha prayer prayer, so beautiful and fascinating the meaning and meaning contained in this prayer. With all our humility, we want Allah to come with a lawful sustenance so that we do not fall into haram acts and haram sustenance which Allah hates. We come complaining before Allah so that the sustenance is sent down or out of the earth and we must be patient with the consent from Allah. Allah wants to hear His servants ask him only, wants to see His servants praise Him, so that this servant becomes close to Allah and Allah becomes close to him.

Dhuha Prayer Times

After we know the procedures for the Duha prayer and the Duha prayer du’a, now the question arises when do we perform this extraordinary prayer? As we mentioned at the beginning of the article, the time to do the dhuha prayer is from rising the sun until before the sun slips or tilts towards the west.

However, the best and best time to do it is when the sun has risen to the size of a pole (the tip of a spear in sight) or around 08.00 am. The time is prolonged and continues until before midday time. So there is a lot of time to do the dhuha prayer which is extraordinary. There is no reason for us not to do it, we can be busy but taking 5 minutes of time to have a dialogue with God in this great moment is of interest.

The proof that this time is extraordinary, Allah Himself perpetuates this time in the Koran, namely the letter al-Dhuha. So, the existence of the Duha prayer is very important, but in Islam this prayer is not obligatory but sunnat. Whoever does it will get rewarded and whoever leaves it is innocent, but he escapes and loses the reward provided for those who perform the dhuha prayer.

The Benefits and Virtues of Duha Prayer

To increase our love for the Duha prayer, it helps us to know what are the benefits of doing the Duha prayer and how the virtue of this Duha prayer.

Prayer is the most important worship in human life, because if the prayer is good then all other things in this life will be neat and tidy. However, if the prayers are chaotic then other things will also be irregular. Prayers are actions and words that begin with takbiratul ihram and end with greetings based on the terms and conditions. Prayers are divided into two types, there are obligatory prayers and sunnat prayers to do.

Compulsory prayer is the basic asset, and like it or not, this must be done. This means that if we only do the obligatory prayers, we are not among those who do a lot of charity because these are just things that cannot be left out. However, when we add to our prayers with sunnat prayers, it is said to increase charity and increase rewards that are outside of capital. Rasulullah SAW received the first prayer command when he was isra ‘and mi’raj, from 50 prayers a day and a night to only 5 prayers.

It is not enough that the obligatory prayers are only to get closer to Allah, but it is necessary to add the sunnat prayers and one of them is the Duha prayer which is full of virtues and benefits both to facilitate sustenance or to get closer to Allah. Next, we will see what are the virtues of Duha prayer and its benefits.

1. His sins are forgiven

One of the benefits of dhuha prayer is that Allah SWT forgives sins. How could I not, a servant who draws himself closer to the khaliq and asks Him for forgiveness, of course Allah, who is vast for forgiveness, forgives His servants who are serious about asking for forgiveness or repentance.

Whoever asks Allah for forgiveness, of course, will be forgiven even though his sins are as much as the foam in the ocean. How much foam is in the ocean, the wider is Allah’s forgiveness, so do not despair of Allah’s grace. It is even said in the hadith that every human being is a sinner and the best of a sinner is the one who repents of his sin. So, people who repent are the best among the others. Repent with regret, and aspire to no longer repeat the crime. Pray more in the duha prayer because in this great time Allah accepts the prayers of His servants. In a hadith it is stated: “Whoever performs the Duha prayer will undoubtedly have his sins forgiven even though as much as the foam in the ocean.” (HR. Turmudzi)

2. One who repents

The next benefit of dhuha prayer is that it is included in the category of people who repent. When Duha prayer has become a routine and a habit, it is truly extraordinary, the Prophet called him a person who repents. Repentance is returning to the right and right path after being lost in immorality. In a hadith, Rasulullah SAw said:

“It is not a person always praying dhuha unless he is classified as a person who repents.” (HR. Judge)

3. Including people who obey God

In a hadith it is stated: “Anyone who performs the duha prayer for two rakats, then he is not written as a negligent person. Whoever performs the dhuha prayer 4 rokaat, then he is saved from evil that day. Whoever does 8 raka ‘ at, Allah will write him as a person who is obedient (obedient). And whoever does 12 cycles of it, Allah will make a house in heaven for him (Narrated by At-Thabrani).

For people who are pious, this is a tremendous blessing from Allah for His servants. Just imagine, just by praying dhuha regularly and regularly, Allah will reward him with a myriad of kindness and even make a house in heaven. Obviously, Allah is most merciful and gracious to His servants who obey His commands.

4. Sufficient sustenance

This is the benefit of Duha prayer which many people who are just starting to pray Duha are looking for. It is true, Allah will provide abundant sustenance for the istiqamah and dhuha routine. Sustenance does not have to be money, but in various ways. It can be given to friends, given a business network, facilitated in selling, or facilitated in various things which in turn provide us with enough sustenance.

Actually, there is no need to calculate with Allah, Allah is very rich and cheap. Not being given abundant sustenance is already abundant if we want to be grateful. To be given complete limbs, two healthy kidneys, two healthy eyes, and a healthy mind alone is extraordinary for anyone to be grateful. Moreover, it is given other favors as we mentioned above. Allah only commands sunnatally to do dhuha prayer at the beginning of the day and will be sufficient sustenance at the end of the day.

“O people, do not feel weak from 4 cycles to start your day, I (Allah) will be sufficient at the end of your day.” (HR.Abu Darda ‘)

5. Get a special door to enter heaven

This is the excellence of praying dhuha, Allah made the door of dhuha for his servants who routinely perform dhuha prayers. They will enter heaven through this special door. Subhan Allah! This is very extraordinary for anyone who thinks. In a hadith it is stated:

“Indeed, in heaven there is one door that is secured by the door of Dhuha, when the Day of Judgment comes, the guardian of heaven calls out, ‘which one is the person who practices the dhuha prayer? This is your door, then enter with the love of Allah case” (HR Thabrani). Allah is the ruler of everything, Allah has the right to provide great service to His servants who truly enslave themselves to Allah.
